Soft Furnishings And Interiors That Will Perfectly Suit Your Windows
Your decision to replace any of your existing windows and doors with beautifully handcrafted, bespoke alternatives, naturally gives your home the outstanding finish it deserves. But it’s often the case that new windows can demand an interior design upgrade too, with quality curtains, blinds, or other soft furnishings being added to give your room a fresh, new look.
Soft furnishings to complement your windows
With our full project management service, we’re able to guide every client through our entire process from start to finish. Taking you from concepts, ideas, plans, and designs, through to full manufacture, glazing, finishing, and, of course, expert installation. But once your project is complete, ready to live with, and enjoy, we’re often asked questions about soft furnishings to complete the interior look.
The talents of NMJ lie in our wood craftsmanship and with the world of interior design and soft furnishings being so personal, it’s something we don’t feel we can give expert advice on. But of course, that makes it difficult for us to give clients the extra guidance or recommendations they need to add the finishing touch.
That was until we started a new project, to replace both windows and doors with our handcrafted replacements, for a client who happened to be an incredibly talented, independent, and local soft furnishings and interior designer.
Handmade quality with a bespoke finish
Based in Tavistock, Sally Davidson Kelly is the owner of her own successful soft furnishings and interiors business. Together with her unique, personal service, Sally uses traditional sewing techniques alongside modern methods to create beautifully bespoke and handmade curtains, cushions, and roman blinds. Hand-stitching each layer of fabric together to ensure a seamless finish, is just one of the details that sets her work apart.
Right from the outset, Sally will have a conversation with you to discuss ideas, inspiration, colours and fabrics to really understand what you need and the look you want to achieve. And once your furnishings project is underway, she’ll be creating everything in her own workshop before providing a full installation service by herself or alongside one of her experienced fitters.
Sally also runs her business on a strong ethos of sustainability and is often asked to reuse and upcycle existing client materials. Not only can this save you money, but it will give a new lease of life to any of your cherished fabrics, turning curtains that may no longer fit into a sleek and chic roman blind or a selection of striking cushions.

She’s local to us and more than qualified to create handmade soft furnishings and window treatments that will give you stunning colour accents and provide the perfect final flourish to complement your room – and your handcrafted wooden windows and doors.
